edible Schoolyard
Edible Schoolyard NYC is working with P.S. 294 students, their teachers, and school administrators to provide hands-on food education to your children.
Edible Schoolyard NYC is a nonprofit that partners with public schools to provide hands-on kitchen and garden education to students. Edible Schoolyard (ESY) teachers teach lessons about all things food: how it grows, how it fuels your body, how to cook, about foods from different cultures, and more. Students are caretakers of our school garden, learning to plant, water, and harvest. Students also taste various fruits and vegetables, and learn to prepare healthy, tasty recipes - occasionally using seasonal ingredients from the garden!
